For many months the Kenthill Townhomes Homeowners Association board has been investigating the possibility of reducing the number and portion of certain items we share with Easthill Apartments in an effort to reduce expenditures.
In October of 2004, a Board member contacted the City of Kent to begin looking into various ways of reducing costs with regard to our water bill. The City of Kent returned our inquiries replying that the best way for Kenthill Townhomes to proceed with regards to this matter was to come to the Kent Permit Center. In this way a Board member could get the complete information about the property and city development requirements and speak with engineering staff about separating water in sewer utilities, historical records, and permitting. A board member met with a city technician and reviewed the Kenthill /Easthill Water Trace Plan and other technical information
One option that was discussed was that of Sub-Metering. This is a practice which has gained great popularity in California and is becoming more popular throughout the west due to rising costs.
